- Improvement of continuous long-hour overtime work was requested by customer (medicinal chemicals manufacturer)
Bottlenecks
- Practical operations were entirely entrusted to subcontracting company and nobody was there to watch and instruct the company directly in their operations.
Visualisation using Logitan
- Visualisation of work details per staff, also visible from remote location
- It was made clear that warehouse staff A was very busy with clerical work all morning (clerical work was due to reasons of customer)
After implementation
Actions
- Requested customer to cooperate to reduce the amount of clerical work, which resulted in a reduction of overtime wages
- It became possible to give instructions for operational improvement to subcontracting company periodically from remote location.
